DOWNTOWN. Home seasonally to both the Minnesota Twins baseball team and the Minnesota Vikings football team, this stadium is a prominent destination for sports fans. Both teams have had their share of notable players ­ Rod Carew, Harmon Killebrew, Tony Olivia, Kirby Puckett, and Frank Viola for the Twins; Fran Tarkenton, Ed Marinaro, Chuck Foreman, Ahmad Rashad, Carl Eller and Alan Page for the Vikings. One-hour tours of the facility are available (612-335-3309).

DOWNTOWN. Guided tours on deluxe motor coaches. Included are the downtown areas of the Twin Cities, Chain-of-Lakes, Mary Tyler Moore's house, and Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis. DOWNTOWN. These fascinating trolley tours last about 65 minutes and leave every 30 minutes from the Convention Center or Saint Anthony Main. Travelers are regaled with stories of the city's history and can see many of Minneapolis's best attractions, shops, and sights. You may leave and reboard the trolley at various points along the route (look for the trolley signs). Please have exact change for tickets purchased directly from drivers.

DOWNTOWN. Home to the men's Minnesota Timberwolves and women's Minnesota Lynx basketball teams, Target Center also hosts rock concerts, hockey competitions, ice shows, gymnastics meets, and circuses. Located in the heart of downtown, Target Center is linked via the Skywalk system to many hotels, restaurants, and parking facilities. Guided tours offer a behind-the-scenes look at the facility; group tours must be scheduled in advance. NB For less than 10 people, tours available on Thursday at 2pm at no charge; for 10 or more, there is a charge and reservations must be made.
